在研究中只擔負單一功能的人員，例如：建議或指導統計分析、收集或鍵入資料、修改或撰寫電腦程式、協助招募受試者等，則可將他們列在論文的「致謝」欄位（acknowledgement）中，以表達對其感謝之意。

1. Those whose contributions do not justify authorship may be acknowledged individually or together as a group under a single heading (e.g. "Clinical Investigators" or "Participating Investigators"), and their contributions should be specified (e.g., "served as scientific advisors," "critically reviewed the study proposal," "collected data," "provided and cared for study patients," "participated in writing or technical editing of the manuscript").
   

2. It is appropriate for a related party who does not satisfy the requirements for being an author to be mentioned in the “acknowledgements.” This include persons who secured funding for the research, laboratory supervisors, principal investigators, person who provided advice and who helped the author in composing a draft or writing a paper in English (persons who are not eligible to be included as authors).
