釋義 Definition or explanation

導師(mentor)是指在專業成長過程中,對他人表現出特別關注與支持的人。他們不僅分享自身職涯經驗與知識,提供具體的建議與回饋,亦在情感與道德上給予鼓勵與支持。導師的角色多元,既可能是指導學習與研究的顧問或教師,也可能是引介資源與機會的推手,更是專業典範,幫助學生或後進塑造自身學術與職涯發展的方向。

1. A mentor is someone who takes a special interest in helping another person develop into a successful professional.

2. Mentors are advisors, people with career experience willing to share their knowledge; supporters, people who give emotional and moral encouragement; tutors, people who give specific feedback on one's performance; masters, in the sense of employers to whom one is apprenticed; sponsors, sources of information about and aid in obtaining opportunities; models, of identity, of the kind of person one should be to be an academic.

3. Someone who provides education, training, guidance, critical feedback, or emotional support to a student. In science, a mentor may be the student’s advisor but need not be.
